Temple Ends Season with 10th Straight Loss

After a heartbreaking loss against UAB on Oct. 27, Temple’s own postseason hopes were gone but they hoped to play spoiler when they visited Charlotte Wednesday. The 49ers needed a win to clinch an appearance in the American Athletic Conference tournament.

Temple kept the game tight for most of the night, mostly due to goalkeeper Tamsin Bynoe’s seven-save outing. Like it has all season, Bynoe’s efforts weren’t enough. She had one lapse all game — a 28th-minute goal scored by Charlotte forward...

Temple Blanked Again, Conference Losing Streak Extended to 28

Temple Women’s Soccer fired off 13 shots but could not find the back of the net in 3-0 loss to FAU Thursday night.

Following Temple’s three-goal loss at the hands of UTSA on Oct. 20, they looked to get back on track against an FAU squad that boasted just two wins heading into the matchup. It was anything but that to start with FAU pouncing just 15 minutes in to steal the lead. However, Temple didn’t roll over and looked completely different after the opening goal.

The hope an equalizer might...

Owls Fall to South Florida in Final Minutes

Bynoe was able to successfully fend off USF for the first 84 minutes, keeping the third-best team in the American Athletic Conference deadlocked. But her heroics were unable to last the entire 90 minutes and Bulls forward Gentiana Fetaj got the best of Bynoe...

Temple Blanked by Conference Leaders Rice

In the first 30 minutes of Temple’s game against Rice Thursday night, the team kept pace with the current American Athletic Conference leaders. They held Rice off the scoreboard up until that point, showing a competitive fire they needed to pull out a win.

Rice finally broke through in the 32nd minute when midfielder Catarina Albuquerque slid a shot past Temple goalkeeper Tamsin Bynoe. The Owls had the entire second half to respond and try to escape Texas with a tie.

Instead, Rice began...
